Sorry for the recent silence. I have a few news items to relate.

A few weeks ago Yahoo! started a company-wide foosball tournament they dubbed “Foosapalooza”. It was a fundraiser for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society of San Jose, and the entrance “fee” to the tournament was a donation to that charity. So I called upon one of the other skilled players here at Yahoo!, Bruce Lee (seriously, his name is Bruce Lee) and we joined up as a team. Well last week we ended up winning the whole shebang (105 teams entered) and first prize was a pair of Tornado Cyclone II tables. So that’s sweet, cause now I have a foosball table… a Tornado, no less (not that I’d bother buying anything else).

Band news: we completed our 3 song demo and we’re ready to start booking shows. You can hear the tracks from the demo at our web site or at our MySpace page. We’ve also booked our first show, which will be at Thee Parkside on October 26 with This Band is a Ship and Spark and Decay. Hope you can make it.

That’s about it, I guess. The rain has officially started so I’m off my motorcycle for a bit. Bummer.
