Top 20 Songs of the Second Half of 2005
So I wasn’t gonna make any year end lists, but Trevor insisted that I tell him my favorite songs of 2005, and once I’d made the list it wasn’t really that much work to publish it. I know it’s a bit late for 2005 lists, but who cares.
Basically, the reason I decided to make two lists for each half of the year was that I didn’t want Spoon’s I Summmon You and Wolf Parade’s Dear Sons and Daughters of Hungry Ghosts to be forced to go head to head in a colossal battle of titanic juggernauts for the number one spot. That could result in thunder, explosions, fire, and much gnashing of teeth (and possibly the destruction of the known universe); we’re all better off this way.
Also, I got The Go! Team’s Thunder, Lightning, Strike late last year, but since it was rereleased in America in October and they added this track to the American version, I figured it counted.
Well, that’s pretty much it. In case you want to refresh your memory, the first list can be found right here. Click below to see the new list.
